Explaining :
I am afraid he isn't in today, can I take a message?
He isn't in right now / I think he has gone out! Can you call back later?
Hum... Laurent is not available, would you like to leave a message?
Laurent is out of the office at the moment, do you have his cell/mobile number?
I’m sorry, the line is engaged, can I take your number and I'll ask him to call you back?
